Austin Medical Associates is a boutique internal medicine clinic in central Austin (right next to UT, Hook 'em!). We specialize in adult care and serve as your first line of defense against disease or ailments of any kind. Given that Austin is a hotbed of pollen, we have extensive experience in allergy detection and immunotherapy with the ability to test for 150 common allergens.

Living Well, a branch of Austin Medical Associates, focuses on bringing out your natural beauty. We offer top of the line laser and radio frequency treatments. These can tighten skin, remove blemishes, reduce hair growth, and diminish wrinkles. We also use Revision Skincare® products to brighten, firm, and protect your skin. With our knowledge of your general health, we believe we can provide these aesthetic services in the safest and most effective way possible, getting you the results that you desire.

We're a fun-loving bunch that takes time to learn about each of our patients. We're local, and a small office, so you will get individualized care. We take your health seriously, not only considering the scientific and physical, but the artistic and spiritual as well (to a reasonable extent!).

Austin Medical Associates has been around as a practice since the 1940s. We are proud to be one of the first practices in Texas to break tradition and integrate our practice seeing patients of all races. Dr. Mileur took over the practice in 2019 from the retiring Dr. Vandel. Dr. Vandel has been serving the Austin community for over 20 years and we are proud to carry on and improve the practice he helped build.

We offer two tests: 

1. A 15-minute skin test that is totally non-invasive and tests for the 40 most common local allergens.
2. A nearly painless skin-prick blood test that checks for 150 allergens.

Your provider goes over the results with you personally and advises you on a personalized immunotherapy treatment.

Internal Medicine is a discipline of medicine devoted to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting adults. Internists spend 3 or more years of residency training after medical school involved in intensive study learning how to prevent, diagnosis, and treat diseases that affect adults. An internist can treat you for something as routine as the flu or fatigue, or provide in-depth care for diseases such as diabetes, cancer, or heart disease. Internists often coordinate care with the many sub-specialists a patient might see in the process of treating an illness.

Dr. Mileur is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He trained in Internal Medicine at the UT Health Science Center in Houston. He has gained valuable experience over the past 8 years managing patients in the hospital when they are at their most vulnerable.

A passion for people, whether at the hospital or in the office, is what drives Dr. Mileur. He and his wife Christie, who is also a physician, are involved in their church and are happy to have a growing family. He enjoys spending time cycling, hunting and playing with his kids. Dr. Mileur is honored to join Austin Medical Associates as Dr. Vandel nears retirement.

Erica holds a Bachelor of Philosophy degree from Miami University of Ohio, a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing Degrees from Pace University, and her Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Pace University. Her 10+ years of clinical experience includes adult primary care and internal medicine, women's health, and family planning.

Other than family and friends, her great loves are live music, good fiction, and travel.
